Instead, it sends focused infrared heat right where you need it—straight onto people and surfaces. So if your patio or terrace has cold spots, this heater zeroes in on them.
What makes it work
Inside, you’ve got a high-output halogen element. Depending on the setup, it runs at 120V or 230V and delivers 1500W to 2500W—enough punch to cover outdoor areas. The tube stays compact, usually 300mm to 500mm long, but still spreads heat in a wide beam. And the dimming? It’s smooth. Phase-cut control lets you dial the heat up or down to match the crowd size and the weather.
The build, in plain terms
The tube itself is wrapped in quartz. That’s there because it handles serious heat and won’t crack when temperatures shift suddenly. Inside, halogen gas helps keep the filament stable, which means the lamp lasts longer. Connections are straightforward too. The R7s two-pin connector is the standard on these units—quick to wire, secure, and it holds its alignment even if things get a little shaky. The reflector is treated to push infrared forward, so you get more warmth where you want it and less wasted to the sides.
What it feels like to use
This heater slides right into built-in patio fixtures and commercial heating bars like it was meant to be there. The dimmable control is the kind of feature you really notice when the evening starts to cool off—you can keep things comfortable without burning through energy. And when service day comes around, that R7s connection makes swapping a unit a lot less of a headache.
